what is your opinion on pretentious literature?

by pretentious I mean fancy grammar structures, obscure vocabulary, and figures of speech.

If one's grammatical structure, obscure vocabulary, and figures of speech are in sync with their own sense of importance, talent, and culture, then it is not pretentious.

You need to know what the words you're using mean, man.
