It's like every book I've already read is mentioned all at once.

10/10 book.

It really is. What other books collect all the sciences in a holistic application like this? I have someone I need to pass this on to and might as well give him something else that shows how much is out there in an applied form. I have half the books mentioned in Prometheus, but would like another general thing to give him before that.

Thundersqueak of the Confessions of a Rightwing Anarchist is really great and cute.

>> No.5162431

Should I read it? I was going to buy it since I can't find a download that doesn't look shitty as hell but /lit/ said it's just new age mumble jumble.

I'd say it's worth it, RAW is a bit of a new age hippy and he expected people to be a lot more enlightened by now but the exercises that are in the book are really interesting and it helps make sense of a lot of things if you're a psychology pleb.

It's a good look at the application of multiple fields and contains a lot of books and authors worth reading if you haven't already, and reading again in a new light if you have.

I need to go buy it as the download I had was shitty as hell.

How is there no decent epub or at least pdf out there of this book? It's not like it's really obscure.

i wonder whether anyone found the nag hammadi library useful in their occult studies. many pieces of the codices read like gibberish translated by Google.

Good list, although not quite complete:

Paul Watzlawick - How Real Is Real?
Douglas R. Hofstadter - Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid
Tao Te Ching
Bucky Fuller - Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth / Critical Path
John C. Lilly - Programming and Metaprogramming in the Human Biocomputer
Pynchon's GR and Lot49

and one or two from Timothy Leary, maybe "Info-Psychology". Oh, and some Hermann Hesse...

thank you Sir.

The initial selection is really subjective, so are your additions. Hofstadter is pretty horrible. Add some Stirner, Paul Feyerabend and Thomas Kuhn. That would do a lot more good. Buckminster Fuller really is the man, though.
