I lack the spiritual belief and faith necessary to be a Christian, but that isn't to say I'm completely at odds with Christian theology.

As an example of what I mean, when I come across someone spouting moral relativism about how Islam and Christianity are the same or some Dawkinite going on about how Christianity was responsible for hampering the progress of civilization, if I have a point to contend, that's when I find myself on the Christian side of the argument. That doesn't make me a Christian. To judge that this comes from a dormant spiritual belief in Christianity is ridiculous, because I have constantly wrestled with the idea of being a Christian on many occasions but I can't bring myself to that because I simply don't possess the faith.
