Why?

I like to buy the books I cherish in hardback. I own shitty paperbacks but I want the classic hardbacks as collectibles. I want the V. hardback with the dustcover that has a V. on it and a violet background, not that piece of shit one with the whore on the front.

I want a hardback gravity's rainbow with the swirling sun, not the gay ass rocket.
etc etc

Hard-backs are inconvenient as fuck. Way easier to read and mark-up as paper-back.

I even have V as a hard-back because I stole my library's only copy. That's the only reason I have the fucking things. They're library books.

I even decided not to buy a 2 dollar Mason and Dixon from the discount rack outside of Strand because it was an ex-library hard-back. Perfect-condition, mind you, but way too clunky.

You can get any book with any book cover in any format. No publisher changes the style for the same edition you knob.
