>> No.499073

house of leaves is so entry level.

>> No.499075

No. There are too many good books. I think we have some for specific genres, but I'm not sure.

We don't typify the canon of literature in lists very well. Or at least we haven't been around long enough to have a good chart for it.

We have a couple decent charts for specifics (there's a great Russian literature one floating around) but as an overall literary whole no there's no definitive chart that accurately takes all aspects of reading and puts them together.

You're best off describing what you want to read and what you want out of reading and posting here over the span of several weeks; getting a plurality of anonymous responses that, over time, show constants.

19th/20th century, fantasy, science fiction, spanish, russian, french, historical fiction...

I think those are all, or at least most of, the lists. Don't have 'em now though.

Because Nabokov is more considered an American writer than Russian. Stylistically this makes sense.

>> No.499139

can some very creative person make a list of books who's authors have received noble's?
>>499126
he gave lectures on Russian literature for some reason, still. anyway there was a better version of this floating somewhere on the internet.

why would it be? it takes great patience and a passion for literature. What boggles MY mind is the lack of Daniil Kharms. I love that shlub.
