So. I have checked out recommended reading and ... Well, I have to say most mainstream things bore me. Call me a fag, but one of the rare outhors I do not walk away bored from lately is King. Besides him ... a few novels here and there.

So, /lit/, you got something hard, gritty for me? Can be horror, crime, whatever.

But it must be a rather well known author since, sadly, I live outside of anglosphere and I need a translation.

I'd recommend Black Dahlia(Elliot), Silence of the Lambs (Harris), all Kings work, etc.
