I just read The Third Man by Graham Greene (He kind of looks like Cormac McCarthy to me). It was okay. I plan to read one more of his novels and if I don't get wowed I will probably put him into the "critically acclaimed authors I am officially finished reading" bed. Should I just go after which of his books the Internet says is most important, or is there a fan among you who have a burgeoning desire to tell me which of his books I should read?

Greene is probably my favourite author. My personal favourite is the Heart of the Matter, closely followed by The End of the Affair. The Honorary Consul is not bad and The Comedians is considered one of his best. And don't read Brighton Rock unless you having a burning desire to complete his Catholic novels.
