oh i read that for school a while ago
i was rather bored by it

there are entertaining scenes with the protag's weird zealot mother bothering the 'heathens' (everybody who isn't religious) but even these get tired after a short time

The girl at the bookshop talked to me about it for like ten minutes while holding the book near the scanning thing and totally hyped up what turned out to be a terrible read.

She wasn't even attractive, I only listened because it seemed like I was the only one who had been in there all day
