Any book recommendations? A story that is not typical or I've read 100 times. Something that involves two lovers but it's deeper than that. One might have cancer or psychological issues. Or the story is just messed up. Something different please.

Oh, lord. If you're looking for something with romance, try "Spring in Fialta" by Nabokov. It's tasteful and quite beautiful. But are you seriously positing romances with psychological issues and cancer ploys haven't become convention in the past decade or so?

This is an incredible romance story. Feel free to disregard David Lynch's "wild at heart " treatment. It's one of the most romantic books I've read, Sailor Ripley and Lula are an incredible pair that deal with some rough edges in their life with style and principle. So much more than that movie, which I now see as indulgent and silly and very disrespectful to the author.

There is no better love story.

Lolita comes close.
