Isaac Asimov thread. Preferably discussion and thoughts on the Foundation saga. I've read these books about 4 or 5 times already and i love them. True works of sci-fi literature

what's the best book of his to read if i've read none

>> No.4811105

start with OP's pic and work your way through the whole saga.
also the robot saga is good, Asimov wrote i, Robot and his robot saga was a celebrated series.
If you dont want to start a saga Nemesis was a good book

Nemesis was just horrible. Like every character was an old man worrying about the future of humanity. Even the fucking children.
If you don't wanna start a saga, go with pic.

I just started Prelude to Foundation. I guess I meant to start with Foundation but I just
ordered whatever was listed as being the first book. I'm a little skeptical thus far, but
I've never read Asimov, so I'll wait to judge.

Chronologically, it is the first book. But it's a prequel.

I recommend reading the foundation series from publishing date. So stop reading that, and start with Foundation.
If you want to read past the third novel (Second Foundation), then you're going to want to start the Robot series (Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun, Robots of Dawn, Robots and Empire).
