There seems to be a correlation between me reading more and my social life dwindling, is this just me? Are books making me asocial? Am I confusing correlation with causation? Discuss.

It really depends how you're going about it. All things in moderation you know. I've seem plenty of people just use books as a form of escapism and they forget how to deal with real life. This isn't because of their reading or the books. No it's because they were doing it in an unhealthy way and couldn't deal with reality anymore.

I use books as a way to cope with my asocialness.

You could join a book club to socialize while getting into books, but there's a 90% chance that it'll suck.
