"narrow land" by jack vance is told from perspective of some kind of fish creature that evolves into bipedal hominid. but its just a short story.

"mogworld" by ben croshaw is from perspective of an undead mage who wants to die. its like a slapstick "Simulacron-3" set in WoW.

cant think of anything else atm

my nigga.

thanks for this.

The first few stories in Ray Bradbury Martian Chronicles come to mind.

There's also the Chanur sagas which is a space operatic that deals with constant barriers and politics between alien species. This probably has exactly what you're looking for.

Victory Unintentional is about three terran robots. The second part of The Gods Themselves deals with some interesting aliens. Both are by Isaac Asimov.

Maybe Perdido Street Station by China Mieville, haven't read it yet. I know it has a few non-human characters though its main character is a human.

I'd also mention The Left Hand of Darkness, but I haven't read that one either. Main character is a human but the story has a lot to do with learning an alien perspective. I've heard good things, and it's Ursula Le Guin, can't really go wrong with that.

Thanks m8. I need to rekindle the little bit of russian I used to know. I live in southern patagonia and my neighbour was a retired KGB colonel in hiding who'd give me russian lessons when I was about 9.

Chalker's Four Lords of the Diamond is an under-rated hot house flower of speculative fiction.

>perspective from non-human creature

Each of the four volumes, also available as an omnibus single, involve the transformation of a human into something human+alien. Many alien life forms. It rises above its formula format.

The best I can do for all your criteria, товарищ, is the short story 'The Things' by Peter Watts. It's quite good and can be read online:
http://clarkesworldmagazine.com/watts_01_10/

What's good in Russian SF? All I know really is Zamyatin and the Strugatsky brothers.

Isaac Asimov - The Gods Themselves

About half of the book is written from the viewpoint of aliens in a parallel universe
