You can find cases of abuse/stagnated religious pools by following individuals who overuse nonverbal cues: a large percentage of that stagnated pool won't realize they're still using them at the expense if verbal communication (again, that's a failure of religion to update and incorporate, not a failure of the community affected by it). Being the change can be as easy as making people aware of the above information.

So things like smiling when you're happy or your posture changing when you're angry are things you should avoid in favor of simply saying "I am happy" or "I am angry?"
