Hi /lit/, im looking for *good* fantasy books, such as tolkien's or pic related. I'm tired of the mediocre ones that doesn't get recognition beyond the fantasy realm.

Jack Vance's Lyonesse Trilogy. Kings duke it out, wizards and witches duke it out and everyone hates King Casmir.

Jack Vance's Dying Earth books, in particular "The Eyes of the Overworld" and "Cugel's Saga". dude just can not stop stealing shit, and one day he fucks up and steals from a powerful wizard with a sense of humor.

for some reason when i read the Cugel books i always imagine Ian Holm playing Iucounu. and maybe Rowan Atkinson playing Cugel.
