"WRITER'S BLOCK" IS A CONSTRUCT; A PRETEXT FOR INEPTS TO BROOD OVER THEIR OWN INEPTITUDE.

THERE IS NO ACTUAL HINDRANCE TO ONE'S ABILITY TO WRITE; IT IS JUST THAT ONE HAS NOTHING TO WRITE ABOUT.

Writer's block is just a loss of confidence.

It's also a block belonging to a man who goes by the name of Writer. What he does with this block, and where it's been, and why it is he's christened it with his name, no one can say.

He's condescending but he's right.

And somehow finds these threads with the exact same question to answer in the exact same way.

Just write anything. try 10 minutes to write everything you have in your mind, the problem is that you are scared.

Win about your fear to write crap.

At all: Just write 10 minutes without stopping, that helps you to lose your writer's block.

This mean: If you think that is stupid write: that is stupid, write anything it does not have to have a sence, even if it repeats and repeats all the time in your head. Write it down! ;) Good luck!

Alcohol and a note pad. Write down any idea that comes to mind no matter how good or bad it is, this will help you regain your stride.

Write about what you know. In your case I guess that happens to be writer's block.

>IT IS JUST THAT ONE HAS NOTHING TO WRITE ABOUT.

you have clearly never written anything; the ideas are the easy part (for anyone with actual talent at least), it's the mechanical process of transferring this to the page that gets bogged down.

I get drunk and forget about my aspirations. And when I sober up I go find a job with a steady schedule (working the same hours five days a week). And when I get bored and it's no longer enough for me to just hang around and rot, I'll do something about it and go write.

College was murder on my output. Block scheduling was like stunning a cow before killing it. Couldn't get a goddamn thing done until I took a semester off to work, and it was like a switch clicked and I was back.

The only valid writers block is anhedonia(depression), I have Rachmaninoff in mind when I say that.

There's no such thing as writers block. Sit down, write. Rewrite. Rewrite. Rewrite.

>> No.4637966

I don't believe Writer's Block exists. It's either an initial uncertainty of what content to write about, or a momentary break when being concerned over how to proceed with your narrative.

Both of which, are broken by simply putting words down on whatever you wish to put it on.

>> No.4637967

You quit writing forever because you'll never be good at it anyway.

When George Harrison had writer's block, he stuck his finger down in a book at random and wrote a song based on the phrase it landed on. That's how the world got "guitar gently weeps."
