4619808 No.4619808 [Reply] [Original]

Is there anything more destructive and poisonous to modern human culture and society than monogamy ?
It puts pressure on society and women and man to betray their natural instincts and forces mediocrity on the rest of the whole of society.

All that is objectively good in a male, that is wit, athleticism, extroversion, health, beauty, the thirst for adventure, gets exactly one spouse and only one under this arrangement, to such a magnificent prime example of the human animal a whole harem should belong to !

The weak, sick, unadventurous, unathletic Brony also gets one spouse to further the miserable mediocrity of humanity thanks to societal pressure.

Monogamy is anti-human, it kills our natural instincts which we have too far strayed from already.

"If we give men of noble character a whole harem, and procure men, and indeed thorough men, for all girls of intellect and understanding, then a generation would soon arise which would produce a better age than that of Pericles"
-Schopenhauer

May your amateur attempts on poetry and life itself capture this human spirit and propagate the noble my beloved /lit/.

Yeah, you'll find all about multiculturalism when you're old enough for university.

Organized religion poisoned our senses and sense of life, we can't really know what is good or bad.
But if search for the truth we can study "objective" good.

Monogamy is mostly a Catholic thing, isn't it?

I like monogamy. I am a monogamous person by nature, (and I am male) I like to have only one partner who I love deeply. I can't speak for OP or anyone else.

This, more or less.

Societal advancement and how many spouses/socially sanctioned sexual partners a person (let's not kid ourselves, "person" means "man" here 99% of the time) could have seem to be totally unrelated to one another.

Well... that's not completely true. I can think of a few polyamorous societies/groups off the top of my head, and they're not exactly great. But then again, that could be because of reasons totally outside of monogamy vs. polyamory anyway, so who knows.

Religion is what kept early humans optimistic and successful, and it still hasn't gone completely obsolete.

But for example in the Golden Age of Athens sure there was "monogamy", but the wife was used as a house slave and baby factory, marriage was not about love at all.
The Greeks were free to then go fuck what ever they wished to.

Love is the short lived impulsive biochemical drive to mate, in marriage it fades away, but in a harem it jumps from women to women from the eyes of a noble person.

>> No.4624972

>Human population
>Half male, half female

Monogamy will always be practiced by the overwhelming majority of humanity because this simple statistic virtually makes it a necessity. Societies we describe as "polygamous" are really usually monogamous societies in which polygamy is practiced by like 5% of the population or less. Otherwise they wouldn't be sustainable.

I guess everyone fucking everyone and avoiding committed relationships altogether is a possible alternative, but that would entail a complete overhaul of conventional family structures and all of the traditions, laws, institutions, emotions, etc. associated with them. In other words, it will never happen.

You forget to mention that this is his second choice. The first is antinatalism. But of course he realises that both are impossible and humanity is fucked and helpless.
