It will combine with video games.

Dialogue in video games will get gradually better. It's a five dimensional medium. There's always branching choices to take into account. This creates an infinite amount of potential dialogue and exposition on even the simplest quest lines.

As video games get more highbrow and complex, and as writers find more difficulty being self-employed, truly great pieces of literature will be found in choice-based simulations.

Literature will always find its audience then, because it will be based on the choices the audience made. Whatever lesson/insight/ideas the individual PLAYER ought to receive will be specially delivered to him, based on the choices he/she made.
