Well /lit/, i've really written myself into an asshole, a dark shitty place with no hope but into the crapper. Becoming a professional writer has been a goal of mine since i was a spit of a child. The problem is, i'm scared shitless of writing. After being burned by some editors in my younger years i cant trust anyone with what i've written.

Of course i meet a magazine editor who takes a fancy to my being and asks me to email her some ideas and possibly writing samples. I have no samples. I cant even send her an email without my anxiety crippling me like a dirty mobster. my question is /lit/, what the hell do i say?

Should i tell her i have nearly no experience as a writer? Should i lie and say my samples died in the great computer fire of '12? I'd take this to /adv/ but i feel this is a more appropriate board.

What do you say /lit/? Writing anxiety thread

I hope you don't actually write this way, lel

Your only hope is to quickly invent a story and send it to the editor without mentioning your past.

Choose a theme you're interested in, or an idea of writing that seem nice to you. Give yourself a realistic deadline for writing and editing 3000 words of it. Send her. Voilà !

I can't make this out. You don't have any writing samples but are attempting to what, publish something in a magazine? I don't get it.
