I'm trucking through Lord of the Flies right now. I'm just taking a smoke break.
As much as I'm enjoying Lord of the Flies, I'm pretty anxious to start The Trial.

So far?

First quarter of the novel is told from the perspective of a mentally deficient man-child burdening a household of former southern aristocrats. Then jumps back in time to the perspective of one of his siblings, in his college days at Harvard, and Faulkner's voice starts to come through clearer.

That's a short and not at all detailed summary, but so far Faulkner's thoughts on time, and how it completely renders the human experience irrelevant are interesting.

Writing style is unorthodox, as characters have thoughts they're immediately written out without warning, and without punctuation, to simulate a stream of thoughts.

Taking it slowly, a lot to analyze, and a lot I could potentially miss, but so far it's incredibly enjoyable.

Well that certainly sounds unique.
