I care about the things that I decide matter. Integrity in my acting, writing and directing. The girl that I am currently unrequitedly in love with. I'm looking to rectify the latter when I ultimately find myself breaching the three hours between us in a move unrelated to her this Summer.

I care so very minimally about anything

If my mood were a scale of 1-10, I'd say I'm normally at a 3, but that this 3 is the neutral value normally reserved for 5. I say this in order to convey how little "caring" I experience.

On a normal day, I awake at 3. If something goes wrong, like I flip my eggs incorrectly and they slide off the spatula, I immediately go to 1, but I don't really care that much. You see, because the 3 is the "neutral". I've not really dropped that far by going to 1. If my best friend dies the same day, probably still at 1.

If I awake at 3 and my day goes swimmingly, plus it's my day off, then maybe I'm at a 4. If I go to the store and purchase every single thing I need and for some reason it's free, I'd be at probably a 5. If I then proceeded to win the lottery, I'd imagine it'd jump to a 7... maybe.

I cannot imagine any situation in which I would experience an 8, 9, or 10 on the "caring" scale, with my neutral of 3. That is how little I care about things.

What do you expect the answers to your question will be?

Personally, I'm a genius and I care about a great multitude of things. I try taking this place seriously, only to be disheartened by idiotic and uncreative people who have nothing of interest or value to say other than to start an argument about semantics.

Personally OP, I think you're likely one of these people, but I suspect that you often have lapses in your depravity and seriously question your motives, where you're going in life, what you're accomplishing by doing what you're doing.

Those moments are likely fleeting to you, and after a wank you're back to your stupidity.

I know this because I'm probably like you in many ways.

The difference between us though, I think, is that I probably have a lot more encyclopedic knowledge, as well as a general knowledge about everything. What's more is that I'm able to critically think about a lot of what I know, and come up with interesting thoughts about said things.

There is no purpose to life OP, the ultimate battle of life (for the high minded) is assigning a virtuous goal (in a classical sense), and striving for it.
