Naked Lunch is his best work, in my opinion, but be warned, it's kind of a tough read. Both because of the way it's written and the content. There are passages in there that make me shudder. Also don't read it expecting a "novel" because it's more or less a series of short stories or poems.

naked lunch has pretty prose, i like his descriptive style very much
however it literally has no meaning and very very very little plot and it's essentially gay rape and erotic asphyxiation and mugwumps fucking children
that being said it got me hard ;)

Agreed on the fact that the writing is gorgeous-- insofar as anal rape can be, anyway.

The classic, of course.
