This is a misinterpretation of the demographics of the Republican Party. Basically there are your teabaggers (love Rand), your fundies (never heard of her), and your moderates (probably don't think much of her). The fundies don't have widespread backing on social issues these days, and the moderates are not numerous compared to the other two, so you don't hear as much from them as you do from the Randroids.

I seriously believe that Glenn Beck is an undercover radical leftist. He's used his satirical character to gain access to right media so that he can subtly spread information about books like The Coming Insurrection. Because even though he trashed it, he simultaneously created a mainstream market for it, making it less suspicious when anyone purchases a copy.
