Stephen Leacock is the shit, he's brilliant. Lucy Maud Montgomery wrote "Anne of Green Gables" and its dozen-or-so sequels. Also, Peter Watts and Karl Schroeder's Ventus series; I haven't read any of his other stuff.

Lowry was born in England, travelled all over the world, and then died in England. The mere fact he wrote his seminal book while living in Canada does not make him a Canadian writer.
