What's wrong with John Green?
I haven't actually read "the fault in our stars" but I read the summary on wikipedia and thought the whole thing was pretty crappy sounding and forced with all the disabilities.

I never really though about it, but looking at my bookshelf I don't own a single book by a female author.

What does it all mean?

I tried watching crash course because i don't know history but I couldn't even finish the world history series
he talks WAY too fast, the humor isn't funny and he tries to shoehorn sjw everywhere.
It's not terrible but he tries hard to make it so.

I was going to refute OP, then I thought about all the female authors I truly respect, and whose works I found truly worth reading...

Donna Tartt
Harper Lee
Mary Doria Russel
Margaret Atwood

i'm sure there are a few more, and theres always the Brontes and the like (who I respect as accomplished authors but do not "like") but... thats about it.

why?
