438232 No.438232 [Reply] [Original]

Wind grew up on the rolling plains of Tsangul, living happily in a small village of traders. One summer, a group of soldiers led in Pasod's name burn down his village because they failed to pay their tribute. Wind's close friend Topaz is kidnapped. Seeking vengeance, Wind sets off on a journey across the world. Before leaving on his journey, however, his other close childhood friend, now a muscular and well-meaning, but horribly dimwitted man named Garnath begs to come. Wind at first says it’s too dangerous, but after the two are attacked by monsters and Garnath does better with his knuckledusters than Wind does with his sword, he agrees and the two set off to rescue Topaz.

>> No.438233

Their first stop along the way is a dark forest, inhabited by various monsters. Here they meet Son’gal, the shaman of a tribe of lizard-like humanoids called Slass’ian. Son’gal is being attacked by a large, vaguely bear-shaped creature which is quickly dispatched. After revealing that Pasod wiped out his entire species, and he is the last Slass’ian in the world. Wind and Garnath offer him a chance to join them on their quest to defeat Pasod, which he gladly accepts.

>> No.438236

Their next stop is a small human town, which is being terrorized by Pasod’s men. Here, Son’gal’s dark magic comes in handy. After repelling the attacking soldiers, the villagers thank them, and a young boy named Kalai, whose father was killed by Pasod’s men, asks if he can join them. At the request of his mother, they tell him no and try to leave without them, but he steals a dagger from the town’s weapon shop and sneaks out late at night, following the party on their journey before revealing himself somewhere down the road. Left with no other option, Wind allows him to join, on the condition that he immediately returns to his mother if they ever go back to his hometown.

The party follows the wagon into the city, but loses sight of it in the crowd. They spend some time searching for a way to gain entrance to Pasod’s impenetrable castle, mostly spent in the smog-filled slums, before a kind old man named Cid tells them of a secret passageway running under the entire city. He takes them to one of the entrances, a barely-noticeable manhole in a disused alleyway near the city walls, and leads them through the sewers, helping them in battle with his shotgun. After penetrating the castle from the basement, they fight off legions of enemy soldiers before arriving in the basement, where they find Topaz, sealed in the tube, a look of pain fixed on her face but her eyes still closed. As Wind attempts to release her, Pasod himself storms into the room, and uses his magical powers to throw the party out of the castle through a window.

>> No.438243

Wind is in tears as his party sets up camp in the forest on the outskirts of the city, when a shimmering figure appears before him. The figure is vaguely female and almost entirely transparent. It identifies itself as the Goddess of Light, and tells Wind that his only hope to rescue his beloved is to gather the Seven Crystals of Light, which have been scattered across the world. Wind says he will, and she gives him a magical compass that points to the first crystal. In the morning his party sets off in search of the Crystals.

>> No.438245

The compass points him in the direction of a cavern, filled to the brim with monsters. The party cuts their way through the onslaught, and eventually comes to a smaller cavern, with only one object of note: a large sarcophagus, made of solid marble, ornately engraved with depictions of an ancient civilization. On the lid of the sarcophagus is a large crystal, shimmering with magical energy. Wind removes the crystal, and an explosion of Light fills the room. As he places the crystal in his bag, a loud screeching sound fills the room and the lid of the sarcophagus bursts off, a horrible, shambling monstrosity lurching out.

>> No.438250

The monster is almost impossible to defeat, but eventually it is overpowered. The party escapes. After camping out for the night, the party sets off in the direction of the second Crystal. Along the way, they find a temple to the Gods. The temple is full of Pasod’s men, and the compass points to the top floor. As they fight their way through evil priests and armed soldiers, the high priest Isdaid knows his end is near. When the party reaches the sixth and final floor of the temple, they confront Isdaid in combat for the Crystal. Defeated, but not slain, Isdaid realizes the error of his ways and joins the party with his powerful summoning magic. Wind takes the second crystal and puts it in his bag.

>> No.438256

After finding four other crystals, they come across a remote mountain complex which Isdaid says is used by Pasod to give him his power. After defeating hordes of enemy soldiers, the party reaches the control room. Isdaid informs the party that the power is generated by the souls of dying citizens in the slums of Jiasdi, so that the rich can have electricity and Pasod can have his magical power. They shut down the complex, but it doesn’t stop working; further investigation reveals that the heart of the complex is one of the Crystals of Light, and as they take it the complex begins crumbling around them. Isdaid orders the rest of the party to leave, and stays behind to hold up the building just long enough for the party to escape. In tears, Wind says that they must press on, lest Isdaid’s sacrifice be in vain.

>> No.438257

They return to the city with the Seven Crystals of Light and use them to free Topaz from her prison. She joins the party, and her white magic and summoning powers are quite useful. The reunion is short-lived however, as they all know they must defeat Pasod. Storming into his throne room, they attempt to fight him, but he escapes into a tunnel beneath his throne. They follow him, and after fighting hordes of monsters and enemy soldiers, they find Pasod in a brightly-lit cavern, glowing water flowing through it.

>> No.438261

this is either a summary or shit tier writing/pacing
either way, fuck off

>> No.438264

He relates to them his evil plan:
“Thank you for bringing all the pieces of my plot together, Wind. You have brought me the Seven Crystals of Light, and with them I shall destroy the world! You thought I merely sought dominance; no, I sought revenge, revenge against a planet that has scorned me for so long! I shall destroy everything but my mighty city! I would’ve collected the Crystals myself but the two I already had were being used, and the other five’s locations were unknown to me. But now you have brought them all together, all eight of them! What’s that, you thought there were only seven? No, your beloved Topaz is the eighth one! That’s why I was draining her! Now you have put her and the other Seven Crystals right where I want them! I shall put them in th Waters of Life, and then I shall drink from this stream, and my power is shall become unfathomable. I shall become like a god! And then all the world will be destroyed, except my fair city of Jiasdi, over which I shall rule for eternity!”

>> No.438268

With the end of his monologue, Pasod strikes at the party, engaging them in battle. They defeat him quickly enough, but as he collapses he falls near the Waters of Life. Drinking but a single sip, he transforms into a monstrous, inhuman being, and attacks the party again, injuring them within an inch of their lives. All seems lost, when suddenly the crystals and Topaz begin glowing. The Goddess of Light appears and explains that ten thousand years ago, she was imprisoned in the crystals, one of which was enchanted to take human form once every millennium. Now her body has been re-united, and she grants the party untold power. They crush Pasod, but his transformation has weakened the fabric of reality; the Goddess of Light tells the party that only Topaz has the power to save the world, and only with her death. Before Wind can say anything, she grabs his sword and thrusts it through her heart, killing her instantly.

>> No.438272

Wind holds her body in his hands, and then his momma got scared and said “you’re moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air!” Well I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said “Fresh” and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare but I thought, “Nah, forget it, yo homes, to Bel-Air!” Well I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabby “Yo homes, smell ya later!” I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there, to sit on my throne, as the prince of Bel-Air.
