A third of the way through; very slow going...When does this book get good?
Don't lie, I know some of you read this series

>> No.4375743

It doesn't. It's ridiculously slow compared to the first three books

About where you are, maybe a little later, really expands on things happening in parts of the world thus far rarely mentioned.

It's not as intense as Storm of Swords but it's more wide spanning.

the first third was all world building and new characters, it pays off.

It doesn't get good. The last two books are time wasting until a fairly obvious event happens.

Feast of Crows and Dance with Dragons were the worst of the series. They are terribly slow and irrelevant.

I liked the last 1/4 of the book a lot, but the rest is somewhat forgettable. The 5th book is worth a read probably, but it does feel like the whole book is dedicated to preparing all kinds of huge events that never actually take place in that book. Hopefully there will be a payoff in the 6th, if it ever comes out.
