Anyone here read into semiotics? seems like an interesting concept but its not been applied to lit of philosophy much and i want to know why

Semiotics is heavily used in structuralism and poststructuralism, unless you can explain how semiotics differentiates from those schools.

(that isn't to say that I think semiotics isn't different from those schools when approached from a linguistics/anthropological/aesthetical perspective, but just that I'm not knowledgeable on the issue.
