Should I read Agatha Christy's top novels and/or Sherlock Holmes?

Sherlock Holmes.

how does christy's works and holmes hold up today? Will I feel like I'm reading some ancient apocryphal texts?

I've read most Sherlock Holmes stories. There's nothing really too much out of the ordinary. His forays into the the american wild west can be odd, and he likes to use the verb 'ejaculate' to express exclamations but other than that it's as readable as most authors from the 19th century
