Hey /lit/, need some advice on a book choice.

For my final paper in a class, I need to choose a novel that is either aimed at children/young adults or a novel containing a prominent child character, and write a paper on how the themes of child protection, child fearing and child obsession play into this text.

The novel cant be Peter & Wendy, Turn of the Screw, or Bleak House.

Im seriously considering Lolita since this would be a very nice excuse to read it, what do you guys think?

Any other considerations?

An easy one would be Catcher in the Rye

What a shitty assignment. Well, if you go with Lolita at least you are going to have something to talk about, so as long as you don't embarass yourself, and post the video on the internet, I think you should feel free to go for it.

I enjoyed Airbourne by Kenneth Oppel. That might work for this.
