I've read a decent amount of published erotica, and most of it isn't to my taste, not even the Anne Rice Sleeping Beauty stuff. Too much foreplay, not enough sex/smut. The online stuff gets right to it because they know what their audience really wants with erotica, and the first priority isn't "good literature," it's a good fap. Sasha Grey looks to at least put a bit more emphasis on the fapping bits.
