I have to agree. I was wary (me and Baz don't really get along), but it worked very well. Kind of a same-as-then, same-as-now thing. Parties haven't changed much.

Even then, the rap was mostly contained to the first half of the film. Once Gatsby sees Daisy again the film slows down a ton.
