It really did seem more like a couple trying to repair their relationship story than a horror story.

I thought House of Leaves was mediocre. It kind of reminded me of a Lynch movie in that it threw a shit ton of metaphors and symbolism around to seem more intelligent than it actually was but half the time the metaphors didn't lead anywhere.
