>Blood Meridian, by Cormac McCarthy
>The complete works of Marquis de Sade
>Something by Philip Roth

Oh God, I can't decide. I guess I'll buy it in a few days, next week. I think I want BM, so I guess (yet again) I've gotten sucked in by /lit/, and their horrible tastes. I'm easily duped.

Just didn't feel like putting it (or Dune) on the chart. It didn't have to be every film by him. Eraserhead is a great film.

That is the point of these charts.

>Paul depicted as a literal messiah capable of making it rain on arrakis
This is the one that bothered Herbert, as Paul was supposed to be a man "playing at being god"
>The Weirding Way is a gun you use to destroy things with sound
This one is a little irritating because I thought the setting always seemed to emphasize human potential (weirding way as a martial art based on complete control over every muscle/nerve in the body) over technological solutions

Still the film has its moments, and the aesthetic is really cool, IMO much better than the scifi channel adaptation

but Mark Frost's collaboration is the best part of TP; it actually makes the concept of a small town "invaded" by Lynchian madness work
at least I think the boring sit-com parts are supposed to highlight this, or Lynch was just too busy pissing coffee to write some days
