I was exactly the same. First I hated it and now I think it's quite slick and decently readable.

I was always more of an Arial and Century Gothic man, sometimes Times New Roman.

I'm iffy on the popularity of Garamond even though Harry Potter used it. It's a little vertically squashed.

I also used to be a habitual abuser of Impact and Snap ITC which were great for Primary School projects.

>> No.412333

Garamond or Book Antiqua, 12pt. Occasionally Sylfaen.

My laboratory boss had me label anything and everything that stood still for more than thirty seconds, which took me a number of days. I did it in Book Antiqua, which utterly no one noticed. It pisses me off when someone else has to relabel something because they usually do it in Times New Roman. Sticks out like a sore thumb, looks like crap. And I'm still the only one who notices.

Too many favourites, man.

I use Times New Roman for all formal work, at 12pt.
I use 11pt for everything else.
Didot is for personal use & for résumés.
Courier is usually for non-formal school work (notes, outlines, and the like).
I don't usually use sans serif, but if I have to it's Helvetica Neue or Optima

You guys convinced me to try Calibri, and I've gotta say it looks easier to read on the screen. I'll change my noted to that font.

I shall keep handing in my essays to my proffessor in a serif style font such as Times New Roman, because it's easier to read a paper with serifs than a paper without serifs, but I may change from Times New Roman too.
