Hey guys.
I am not a native english speaker, and don`t have anyone to ask about it, but the most intelligent board on 4chan.
I really enjoyed "To kill a Mocking bird" and it`s athmosphere of rural american south, with it`s simplistic and unsophisticated people. Can help me out and advice on book with similar style. I was plannin to read "As I lay dying", has anyone read it? It takes for me longer to read books in english than it takes for you so i want to make a good choice.
And also, any recomedations about books that will make me wish I was born in deep south in 1900 - 1960?

Faulkner is pretty good for that kind of thing but be aware that he's famous for being experimental, so I'm not sure it's the best thing for a non-native speaker. You may want to stay away from The Sound and the Fury at least.
