Turn off your computer and read books.

Unplug your ethernet cable so opening your browser is pointless.

Go outside/somewhere else without a smartphone and read.

what can i do instead of going on the internet when i wake up? see that's my down fall when i chug coffee i check email, go to clothing stores to see what new overpriced bullshit i can't afford, then go to ebay to see if any of the worn out musty crap i'm bidding on is ending and then spend the rest of the day hitting refresh on torrent sites

Read a book. Write. A lot of writers actually like to write early in the morning, when their mind is clear.

Than you should ask in their respective boards.

Same problem here m8.

Step 1: Change your environment to disrupt your habits. There's a "Self Control" app for Mac that blocks Internet for certain blocks of time.

Step 2: Develop new habits. Set a realistic routine for yourself and follow it every day until it becomes natural.

It's all about getting over the hump of withdrawal and developing new habits. There's a book called "The Power of Habit"; it's partially self-improvement bullshit but it also has some good ideas and it's been helpful for me.

Godspeed.
