Thinking about giving this a go. Would I be better off with Desolation Angels?

No one here has read anything other than On The Road

I've read On The Road, The Dharma Bums, Big Sur and Lonesome Traveler. I've always been reluctant to go beyond because I suspect I'm going to be disappointed/can't find them online anyway.

Visions Of Cody is worth it.
