Out of some anthologies it is one of the better ones, it has some good short stories from my favorite authors, worth the buy.

I'll be honest, I haven't had a proper look at it yet. I picked it up for 50p brand new. It's a reference book from almost all of Tolkien's works (even from multiple editions of the major works) in Middle Earth. It looks pretty exhaustive, and it references everything to the texts, comments on script, language and I think etymology in some places. It's not an analysis of the work, more like an encyclopaedia. Here's a page, hope this helps. I think it'll probably help when I get round to reading the Silmarillion
