So I really enjoyed "No Country for Old Men", I thought "The Road" was okay, albeit depressing. I'm starting on "All the Pretty Horses" and its really slow so far. Any recommendations of what I should read next/instead?

Also, the dude loves run-on sentences.

Child of God or Outer Dark. Then Blood Meridian.

But finish All The Pretty Horses, OP. It's not his best, but it's still a very good book.

are the other two of the trilogy any good?

Why did you think The Road was only okay? Because it was somewhat depressing? I've only read that one by McCArthy (Although I have Blood Meridian and NCfOM waiting to be read) and I found it surprisingly good: grim without trying too hard, and with a lot of poignant (at least in the context of the book) writing.

I don't really enjoy his gimmick of 2cool4commas, but he has obviously mastered that style to a point where it has its charm.
