Michael Crichton - Author of Jurassic Park, which I've read and thoroughly enjoyed.

How does /lit/ feel about his work, and what do you consider to be his greatest achievements aside from Jurassic Park?

I really liked him and learned a lot about evolution from Jurassic Park, but most of /lit/ thinks he´s too pleb for some reason.

I remember really enjoying The Andromeda Strain as well as Congo.

Sphere was meh... But I might be remembering the movie over the book.

I don't recall any of the others as fondly.

Andromeda Strain was dope, as was Next. I'd suggest reading Five Patients as well for an informed commentary on the American medical system.

He's a really awful writer and an idiotic right-winger and kind of a racist.

The movie Jurassic Park is so much better than the book. Chrichton's characters are like cardboard cut outs.

Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Prey, Timeline, and Andromeda Strain. Next and Congo were meh, and I still haven't read Micro.

I liked Jurassic Park. I liked The Lost World too.

Has anyone read The Great Train Robbery?

Timeline, Sphere, and Airframe basically made my 6th grade year, and I read Congo a few months ago. I never liked his movie adaptions besides Jurassic Park.

Is Eaters of the Dead any good?
