Are you kidding me, hombre? 'The Beautiful and the Damned' and 'This Side of Paradise' are both better than 'The Great Gatsby'.

Contrary to what people often say, I don't think 'The Last Tycoon' would've been if he'd finished it, nor is 'Tender is the Night' (chronological publication or original).

For real? Have you actually read both? I loved The Razor's Edge, but Of Human Bondage took me a long time to get through, and I only really enjoyed reading about his time in France and Germany. His schooling and that absurd relationship with Mildred were practically unreadable, and no character in the novel was nearly as brilliant as Elliott Templeton or Larry Darrell.
