Am I retarded or is this a tough read?

>> No.3757226

Nietszche can be pretty hard, though that doesn't by itself rule out the possibility that you're retarded.

>> No.3757236

put it down and read thus spoke Zarathustra instead then stop complaining

>> No.3757241

>>3757236

I thought I read that was easier if you read his other stuff

>> No.3757246

>>3757241
oh. well I didn't.

>> No.3757674

it's the more accessible version of "thus spoke zarathustra"
also dem aphorisms.

whats your problem?

>> No.3757718

>>3757224
Try thus spake zara, you will likely find it easier to read.

>> No.3757729

Just take your time. Don't rush through it like a fiction book.

I wouldn't recommend Zarathustra as it's more obtuse in its philosophy, though there is a story to follow.

If it's your first time reading Nietzsche try Twilight of the Idols, which makes for a good, quick introduction to his beliefs.

Most philosophy is pretty tough. You really have to pull each word out and string it together to get what they mean. Most of these deep thinkers weren't very great writers, but its up to you to figure out what it all means.

>> No.3758057

I find Genealogy of Morality both his most accessible and most concrete in terms of philosophical claims

>> No.3758072

Nietzsche can be a good critic
Zarathurstra can be interesting if yr into the madness of it all.
I don't think he's much in the ways of constructing a philosophy
