I just finished reading this. It's emotionally scarring. Apparently it was Timothy McVeigh's favorite book.

Can we have a thread about crazy person's books?

He like this one too, apparently. I've never read it though.

Also, you should check out Ragnar Benson. Funny shit.

It's a weird book about white supremacists taking over the country through a militia movement. It's quite gory and psychopathic toward blacks, and is good at getting the reader on the side of the killers (or maybe just me). I don't hate black people, but found myself rooting for their mass murder.

Harold Covington's books, namely "The Brigade" and "A Mighty Fortress". He promotes creating an "Aryan" homeland in Oregon or some crazy shit. Much of it can be utterly ridiculous at times, though. White Separatist battle squads using fedoras to honor HAC's self-inserted character. Who hates ducks. Plus people in the future wear renaissance clothes, apparently.

I thought the Turner Diaries was quite effective. Some of the dialogue and characterizations are fairly ridiculous, but it gets you into the mindset and environment well anyway.

I almost feel bad when I hear of some crazy person being so affected by some book when it's written horribly and is shite. It'd be impressive if McVeigh was reading Heidegger or Pound or something good.

On his website he promotes buying several sets of his books a year as a good, even necessary, way to support the cause. He's pretty kooky.

Not that I wouldn't move to an Aryan homeland in a heartbeat if it were possible.

Really? Effective? Jesus Cristo

I couldn't take it seriously after the first line let alone when I found out it was about the Cohen Act outlawing firearms.

you probably do,but there is nothing wrong in hating groups of people as long as nobody starts killing.
turner diaries is a big block of hypocrisy or maybe just plain stupidity.
the "system" is evil because it burns books, beats the dissenters, and forces its way of life.the nazi did the same but apparently they did good.how about "the book" that turner reads? the one that according to turner explains everything but the reader is never told anything about its content?
you'll find a more balanced world view on /pol/,i'm not joking. at least you'll find some discussion there...
