We have never experienced anything other than life. Therefore we can't judge it as a whole since we know no perspective outside of it and have nothing to compare it to. Actually, we have never experiences anything outside our own lives. We know no perspective other than our own.

This lack of oversight and objective judgement makes the sweeping statements we make about life not so much general as a form of person self-expression. To be an antinatalist is to judge your own life as not worth living.

The problem here then is not that life is in itself something bad (it's wholly neutral, that is, it requires a personal subject for a value judgement to be possible), the problem is that you don't live it well enough to make the scales tip in favour of it. This is in itself a problematic approach, since as long as you don't kill yourself, living a good life requires a love for life. Short of suicide, a negative value judgement regarding life as a whole is the very thing that makes life a horrible endeavour. Antinatalists conclude they don't want to take the ride after the cart has started moving, and clinging to this knee jerk reaction against difficulties is the one thing that will guarantee a shitty existence.

Also, since you won't be able to stop humanity from reproducing, the most practical way to go for an antinatalist would be not reproducing himself and otherwise dedicating himself towards making other people's life less horrible. Thorough antinatalism praxis is basically saintliness.

Whole point argument is ridiculous at its premises since there is only life. Life is the only state an agent can find himself into. Talking about non-alife/unborn/dead agent is oxymoronic.

At the core of antinatalist positions lies an outrageous claim that there are things that have an objective value and moralizing that follows it.

>Also, since you won't be able to stop humanity from reproducing, the most practical way to go for an antinatalist would be not reproducing himself and otherwise dedicating himself towards making other people's life less horrible.
Nah, antinatalists are self-proclaimed crusading SJW in its extreme form. They imperialistically want to impose their values on others. Why they do this is irrelevant, IMO, though the core excuse is a claim of a moral high ground.

It's just empathy. It's the realisation that life is more suffering than joy and the desire to prevent that, or, refusing to be directly responsible for suffering by spawning a child into this world.

Then it is empathy that went awry. Empathy, an adaptation and survival mechanism, evolved since it allowed a lot of offspring to survive. What they propose is ass-backwards to what made them be born with the trait in the first place.

Antinatalism doesn't merely denote the personal choice not to reproduce though, it condemns everyone who does as immoral scum.

Successfuly evolved survival and adaptation mechanisms - such as empathy - lead not only to more offspring but, in general, more offspring with said trait - this is a fact.

The only reason empathy as a trait survived to this day is the fact that it leads to more offpsring. Emapthy that goes awry is an empathy that promotes behaviour that either produces offspring with no empathy trait (and therefore doesn't perpetuate itself) or that produces no offspring at all - as is the case with antinatalists.

I don´t think Nietzsche would have predicted such obvious cases of his teaching that morality is life-denying.

Yes, and you seem to imply that this is a bad thing . There is no rule in nature that extinction is bad. That's why I reacted in that way to your post, you seem to be projecting goals on nature.

It is a bad thing - aka empathy that went awry - as long as you consider having empathy a good thing. By definition.
