Hey /lit/. I don't come here much, but I'm working on an outline for a story that I'd like to write, but I need some help.

The idea is that it's set in 1955, in a world where WW2 never happened, yet Hitler remains in control of Germany. Japan would still be armed and China would still be pissed at them over the Rape of Nanking. In 1950, since there were no American troops stationed in Japan, the US did not get troops to South Korea fast enough to repel the invasion of North Korea, resulting in the defeat of South Korea. Operations were launched in 1951, 1953, and 1954 to recapture the land that the North Koreans took, each one being repelled.

I'd like for there to be a conflict resulting in the invasion of the US from Germany and Japan, while China seizes the opportunity to invade Japan with the USSR and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea supporting them. Hitler would have bid his time, investing in extensive military research, which managed to go much further due to the time he had.

I need ideas, I need to make sure I have my facts straight, and things like that. The story would revolve around a minuteman in America during an invasion.

WOLVERINES

I'm not sure about the independent Korea part:
Korea was Japanese since 1910.

Also:
Japan took Manchuria from China in 1931, and then started an all out war in 1937 (this is when Nanking happened). I'm wondering, where do you pull the line on this one? You mentioned Nanking, so that would mean that they went into full scale war, but I'm also assuming that they are at peace at the time of the story. So, what happened? How did the war end?

Nanking would happen as it does normally, and the fallout would be normal as well, since none of the circumstances change.
