Is there any good philosophy about why liking sports is pointless and how not liking sports doesn't make you less of a man

What you have to remember is that sports, exercise, etc. are all good things in and of themselves, and making a living off one of them as an entertainer of sorts is also a respectable lifestyle.

The problem you get into is when people are using them as drugs, basically, devoting their whole lives to sports, not as a player but as a "fan", and using it to fill in some gaping hole in your life. At that point sports become as dangerous as reality TV shows, etc.

Basically, they can contain the same dangers other forms of entertainment do, and this is b/c they have become primarily a form of entertainment in our society. Not really anything specific to sports themselves.

It takes someone with masculine qualities to be a talented performer of sports, but by just not liking sports it does not imply some sort of inferiority, just a lack of will. For example, if I don't like reading books, that does not mean I cannot be an intelligent person. I don't know what your definition of "pointless" is, though. Sports themselves have a "point" of reaching the objective of winning. And as a general act for humans, it promotes good health, community, competition, entertainment, and other primal facets which are important to living things.

>why it took 16 million civilian deaths of various reasons to convince the Brits they should help
The Brits helped because of the Arab oil, not because of the numbers of dead Soviets. This is well documented. They didn't give a fuck about the Soviets. As far as they were concerned, Stalin with his Gulags was just as bad as Hitler. As the Nazis were dominating Europe, the supply of oil to the UK started to become restricted, and Churchill realised that If Hitler could just take a small part of Southern Russia (Georgia and Azerbaijan were Soviet), then he would throttle the supply of oil. Churchill had talks with Stalin – even flying out to stay with him – but he held of giving him any help – although Stalin asked him multiple times – until it looked certain that the Nazi's were going to take Moscow and everything south of it.

There are transcripts of their conversations. Stalin even Insulted Churchill, calling him weak and cowardly. Churchill stood up to the microphones in his bugged room and went on a half hour monologue about how much of a cock he thought Stalin was (I think he said 'peasant thug in a uniform,' not cock) and Stalin apologised and begged him to help when he heard the recordings.

Stalin begged for 150,000 British troops (A figure Churchill wouldn't spare) and Churchill promised to help Stalin, but held of for a long time until it looked certain that Hitler was about to march in to Moscow. Churchill didn't actually provide a single person to help until he was sure that Stalin was about to get his ass kicked.

You mean apart from all the ones in September 1941? ... along with "5,000 tanks and 7,000 aircraft were delivered to the Soviets, not to mention 15 million pairs of boots, among the four million tons of vital supplies"

"Germany invaded the USSR on June 22, 1941, bringing to an end the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop non-aggression pact between the countries" ... It was less than three months later that Churchill decided to bail him out after years of ignoring him and not sending a single person. I wonder why? Because the Soviets needed bailing out.
