Does anyone else lose interest in a story they are writing after a few days. For me, when I try to come back to it I have a hard time feeling the moods and emotions that caused me to write in the first place. I feel like the the writing I do after the initial excitement phase is less passionate and it shows. Anyone have any strategies to combat this?

Don't stop writing until you finish it.

Well if the story is below twenty or so pages a strategy could be to force yourself to finish in only a few days. Otherwise I would say that you shouldn't worry about it and instead focus on starting as many stories as possible: this will improve the chances you'll be in the mood to work on one of them at any given time.
