I never imagined people on 'this' board would end up liking Eragon. I personally think it's terrible.

Star Wars novels are not /lit/

Did you mean to press reply or something?

I honestly didn't mind the first one. Or even the second one that much. But by the third one I think I can honestly say I have never hated a protagonist so much as Eragon.

"Oh no I killed those poor ants with my magic things."

And maybe a chapter later he strangles a young guardsman, who had been pretty much minding his own fucking business, to death? No, fuck you. Even just thinking about it is getting me pissed.

yeah it is-it feels little generic and with this book i almost
started doubting fantasy
christopher paolini wrote erangon very young-maybe in
the future he gets better

It's terribly written and just shit in general, but I did enjoy it when I was 12. It's a fun, children's Middle-Earth Wars, nothing more.

I was just going to ask how old you were. But then I checked the release date, and realized it's fucking 11 years ago. Shit, time really does fly by.

But it's the Great American novel, anon

This.

This, the first one wasn't bad. The series went downhill very quickly though, and the last one was atrocious to say the least.

No, the first one was bad also.

I kinda liked the Eragon series.

>> No.3458873

i enjoyed it when I was a teenager. I've grown out of shitty YA fantasy since

So did I, when I was 13. I really liked it at that time. I read the third book when I was 19, it felt kinda bland and predictable. I had also watched the Star Wars series in the meantime.
