So guys, what are your opinions on reading books via Kindle or any other non-paper device?

Not my bag, but whatever turns you on man.

After a couple of pages I'm usually into the book, and the medium disappears leaving just the words. I read both e-books and paper, but I really don't care which I read.

I don't like it for the mere reason that once I finish a book, I add that book to my bookshelf; a figurative trophy case of the knowledge and experiences I've gained.

It's much more satisfying to look at a case physically displaying what I've read than a virtual folder full of .pdf and .mobi files. The only book I've even read on a kindle was "Post Office" by Charles Bukowski and I ended up going out and buying a copy AFTER I read it just so I could put it on my shelf with all my other books.

Just a personal preference, though. As far as actually reading, a kindle/nook can be much easier on the eyes and you don't need to worry about getting the pages dirty.
