I think we can all agree that this is the finest piece of literature ever written.

>> No.3352411

I remember that book.

>> No.3352436

Surprisingly, I'm inclined to agree, although I'd posit that the Arnold Lobel and Beatrix Potter books were better.

No. Kill yourself. That book was awful.
Not only did it preach counter-individualism, the art sucked. Now, Where the wild things are is an excellent book.

Yes, it was very good. A bit over-the-top with the anti-obesity message when fatties were rolling all over the place. Good, though.

Does anti-obesity really need a message? Why is it so hard for people to just not be fat? These plebeians and their hijinks.

The fish loses its rainbow scales as the story progresses. Have you even read this novel?
Do you even read at all?

Plus the story is basically a metaphor for communism, even though the author claims, "Rainbow Fish has no political message." Come on buddy, open your eyes.

There is no nostalgia in the East. Moja Prva Knjiga ("My First Book") had a first page dedicated to Drug Tito. It was one of those alphabetic books that has pictures of things according to the first letter, so apparently Tito was even above the alphabet.

Wasn't there some soviet popular book of children's fables, except they were all about Lenin and how even as a child Lenin was unable to do bad things like lie or steal?

Crap, does anyone know the name of it? I keep meaning to find some copy of it to go with my collection of Wilde's fairytales.

On Monday he fucked his highschool sweethearts brains out, but he was still horny.
On Tuesday he fucked two college chicks until they cried, but his lust hadn't cooled down.
On Wednesday he had a foursome with three hookers, and didn't stop fucking until one of them died. Still, he wasn't satisfied.
On Thursday he boned his wife, his neighbours wife, his best friends wife, his bosses wife and his sons girlfriend in one giant frenzied orgy, without losing his hunger for sex.
On Friday, he went to his parents house, murdered his father, and then fucked his mother 'till dawn. In his last thrust all the tension and horniness fell from him like a second carapace and he went to sleep.

When he woke up after a night of restless dreams, he found himself transformed into a giant human being. He lived his life, calling himself Gregor Oedipillar, quite contemptuous until the day he died.

There were lots of books like that, yes.

But it doesn't matter, because Russian kids don't read that shit unless forced to in school.

The first books read 'for fun' by Russian kids are poetry like Chukovsky or Pushkin.
